Our History
My parents Ruth and Basin Levin, founded Living Walls in 1970, so I am a second generation buyer and designer. My husband Michael oversees the deliveries and installations. I have been active in the business for 29 years.
Originally located on St. Armand's Circle, Living Walls moved downtown as one of it's leaders in Sarasota's Downtown Redevelopment, which carries on to this day. Living Walls has always been a style setter carrying classic modern and contemporary furniture. Originally dedicated to Wall Units and Entertainment Systems, that specialty has been supplemented by a complete selection of furniture for the entire home. Our look is enduring, not trendy.
Web History
Living Walls has had a web presence for almost ten years. Our last site was designed by a very creative and talented team “Bleushift” headed by Carole King. I don’t know where she is, but Nathan Bell Pyatte is still around at atLarge Inc. We think the site is terrific enough we’ve archived it here for you. There you will see some great photos and history about my Mom and Dad and the fledgling store. Also some of the great furniture designs from the 90’s.
